Residential Schools for Weaker Section of SC/OBC/Min/Orphans
Delhi Govt. vide cabinet decision no. 1981 dated 31.02.2013 decided to set up a residential school for EWS of SC/OBC/Min /Orphans of any castes at Issapurin collaboration with Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences(KISS). Bhubaneswar. The scheme is based on "Operations, maintenance and management agreement between Department for Welfare of SC/OBC/Minorities, GNCTD and KISS, Bhubaneswar. A grant of Rs.5,000/- per student per month is being provided by Delhi Govt. to the KISS Delhi to run the residential school
Delhi Government vide Cabinet Decision dated 01.03.2019 has approved the further extension of financial support through recurring grants for another five year 2018-19 to 2022-23.
The School is now known as Kalinga Institute Of Social Science Delhi Govt. Sr. Secondary Residential School and Directorate of Education, GNCT of Delhi has granted the ID in the academic year 2019-2020 by this name. After inspection by the CBSE has granted the affliation to the School up to the level of Xllth standard.
The school started in the year 2013 with 269 students from to lIlI standard, which has been upgraded upto XIl standard with 836 students in Acedemic year 2022-23.
